Second time in four starts this season with double digit strikeouts.

Walker Grisanti, OF, 5-10, 190, Collierville, Tenn.

Earned his first two career starts, playing in four games and going 5-for-9 with four runs and three RBI.
Posted a career-best three RBI along with two hits in win over Radford on Wednesday.
Recorded his second straight two-hit game on Saturday in win over Xavier, scoring a career-high three runs.

Commodore Notes
No. 2 Vanderbilt posted the team’s second perfect 5-0 week with wins over Radford and Xavier… The Commodores opened the week with two wins over Radford… VU won Tuesday’s game 13-4 behind a solid start from Patrick Raby, who earned the win striking out seven over five innings… Jeren Kendall and Kyle Smith each had three hits in the win… Chandler Day and Joey Abraham combined to shutout Radford 12-0 on Wednesday… Day tossed five scoreless for the win and Abraham finished off the final four innings to notch his first career save… Walker Grisanti posted a career-high three RBI and Tyler Green hit his first career home run with a three-run shot… The Commodores posted their second straight shutout on Friday, blanking Xavier 7-0… Jordan Sheffield took a no hitter into the eighth inning before a single broke up the bid; the right-hander fanned a career-best 12 in the win… Will Toffey collected a season-best three hits and Ethan Paul drove in two runs… VU clinched the series on Saturday with a 14-3 victory… Kyle Smith drove in three runs, including his third home run, with his third three-hit game of the season… Freshmen Ethan Paul and Walker Grisanti each scored three runs with Paul driving in two runs for the second straight game… Liam Sabino hit his first first career homer in the win… Vandy finished off the team’s third series sweep on Sunday with a 5-2 win… Kyle Wright earned his third win of the year with 5.1 solid innings, striking out five and allowing one run on five hits… Penn Murfee led the way matching a career-best with three hits as Jeren Kendall drove in two runs… The Vandy Boys host four games at Hawkins Field this week with Northern Illinois on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+… The Commodores open Southeastern Conference play on Friday against No. 20 Mississippi State at 7 p.m. before hosting the Bulldogs on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
