NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt lacrosse team hosts the Furman University Paladins Sunday, Feb. 14th at 1:00 pm in the squad’s home opener. Admission is free with action taking place inside the Vanderbilt indoor facility located off 25th Ave.
The Commodores opened their 2015-16 season on the road last weekend, with a commanding 16-6 victory against Kennesaw State. Ashlin Dolan, a redshirt junior, led the Commodore squad with a career-high four goals on just seven shots.
Vanderbilt maintained possession for most of the game, winning the draw control battle 17-4. Margaret Fee led both teams in draw controls with four.
Sunday’s competition will be the Paladin’s season opener, after going 10-7 in their first season. The Paladins went 5-2 in road contests during 2015, and 4-3 in Atlantic Sun conference play.
