Commodores cap regular season against Marshall and North Florida

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt swim team closes out the 2015-16 season at home hosting the Marshall Herd and North Florida Ospreys in at tri meet at Enswortth High School.

While Saturday’s meet begins at 11:00 am, the team will honor senior Hannah Martin at 10:45.

“We’re looking forward to our last dual meet of the season,” said head coach Jeremy Organ. It’s a big day for Hannah, she has been a very special person who has done so much for the team.”

“Hannah excels in the classroom, is one of our top contributors in the poll and is a leader on the team. She has all of the qualities the I hope a young woman leaves our program with.”

The Commodores come off a hard loss to Missouri, but hope to end the regular season on the right note against UNF and Marshall.

“We are going to need to ready to race on Saturday. We have to execute every race and be sure to get the first hand on the wall first.”

Last season, VU defeated both squads during away meets. The Victory over the Herd was he Commodores 6th victory in as many years. VU secured first place in 10 of 16 events in Huntington, WV. and look to do the same here at home.

Vanderbilt defeated the Osprey’s last year 159-93 in a tri meet hosted by UWF. The Commodores earned first place, all while breaking three pool records.
