LAS VEGAS—Amanda Fry and Katie Stark finished in a tie for 24th place to lead Vanderbilt bowlers in the overall standings as the USA Team Trials and National Amateur Championship concluded.
Fry, a senior, and Stark, a sophomore had similar days Thursday with 38th and 33rd place daily finishes, which put them in a deadlock when all daily places were added together for overall standings.
Assistant coach Josie Earnest couldn’t find her groove Thursday and was in the middle of the pack for a 26th place finish overall. Nicole Powell ended up 30th in the field of 109 and Robyn Renslow’s rough day dropped her to 32nd while Kasey Eaton was 59th and Jordan Newham 95th. Complete results are on bowl.com.
The Commodores return to campus for the start of spring semester classes and their first varsity competition at Arkansas State’s Mid-Winter Classic Jan. 15-17.
