LAS VEGAS—Assistant coach Josie Earnest got back on track Wednesday but Vanderbilt’s overall leader at the USA Team Trials and National Amateur Championship is senior Robyn Renslow.

Renslow, who was 18th on Wednesday’s round, is also 18th in the overall standings calculated by the combined finishes of each day. Earnest is 19th in overall standings.
Wednesday was generally a good day for Commodore bowlers.Beside Earnest and Renslow, Amanda Fry was 26th (34th overall), Katie Stark was 29th (61st overall) and Nicole Powell had her best daily showing, coming in 17th to sit in 40th overall. Jordan Newham is 62nd overall and Kasey Eaton 67th.
The marathon tournament comes to conclusion with one more round Thursday before the stepladder finals begin. The top four finishers gain automatic berths on Team USA or Junior Team USA and several from the Vanderbilt contingent have an outside chance with a superior performance.
