The Commodores’ men’s basketball team will travel to Arkansas this Tuesday night for their first Southeastern Conference road game of the season when they take on the Razorbacks at Bud Walton Arena. The game will tip off at 8 p.m. CT and will be televised on the SEC Network, with all of the action also available on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Radio Network.
Vanderbilt and Arkansas will meet for the 32nd time on Tuesday night, with the Razorbacks holding a 20-11 advantage in the series and an 11-2 series lead in games played at Arkansas. The first meeting between the two schools came on December 14, 1963, at Memorial Gym in a game the Commodores won, 101-77.
Vanderbilt dropped their SEC opener Saturday against LSU, 90-82, despite a 17-point, seven-assist, six-rebound, three-steal game from sophomore Wade Baldwin IV. Jeff Roberson (13), Damian Jones (12), Riley LaChance (12), and Matthew Fisher-Davis (11) also added double figures for the Commodores.

- Jones surpassed the 1,000-point mark in his career against Western MIchigan and became the 44th player in Vanderbilt history to break the 1,000-point barrier. He now has 1,018 points and is 42nd on the all-time VU scoring list. Jones’ 12-point game was his 10th game of the season in double figures and the 58th of his career.
- Jones also now has 138 career blocks, which puts him fourth on the all-time Vanderbilt blocks list, and his 1.75 blocks per game average is the best by a Commodore who has played in 50 or more games.
- Baldwin has scored in double figures in nine consecutive games.
- Roberson scored in double figures for the fourth consecutive game.
- Fisher-Davis scored in double figures for the sixth time this year and 17th time of his career, and has made three or more threes in seven contests this season.
- LaChance scored in double figures for the second consecutive game, for the fifth time this year, and the 29th time in his career.
- Arkansas leads the all-time series between the two teams, 20-11, and the Razorbacks have won two consecutive games in the series. In games played in Fayetteville, Arkansas leads the overall series, 11-2.

Stallings has 321 career wins at Vanderbilt and 444 overall as a head coach. He has eight 20-win seasons in the last 12 seasons, with 11 total postseason appearances, six NCAA tournaments, and two Sweet 16’s (2004 and 2007). He is also one of five SEC coaches to win 300 or more games at one institution, joining Kentucky’s Adolph Rupp, Florida’s Billy Donovan, and LSU’s Dale Brown and Harry Rabenhorst, and is now in 6th place all-time on the SEC wins list.
- Payton Willis, a 6’4 guard from Fayetteville, Ark., and a recent signee, hails from Fayetteville and attends Fayetteville High School.
- The Commodores have three players at seven feet or higher in their front court – Josh Henderson (7’0), Damian Jones (7’0), and Luke Kornet (7’1). LSU has two seven footers, and the rest of the league has one or fewer.

Vanderbilt has made a 3-pointer in 944 consecutive games, a streak which began at the inception of the 3-point line in 1986-87. The Commodores rank second only to UNLV for the longest streak in Division I basketball. Vanderbilt, UNLV and Princeton are the only three schools in college basketball to have made at least one 3-pointer in every game played since the 3-point line was implemented.
Academic Success
Eight members of this year’s team were named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll or the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll for 2014-15.
Non-Conference Tough
According to KenPom.com, Vanderbilt has had a difficult non-conference slate. The Commodores’ non-conference schedule is ranked 77th in the nation, but fourth among all Power Five schools. Only Florida (40), UCLA (58), and Wake Forest (66) have had a tougher schedule accoring to KenPom.

- Moses Kingsley averages a double-double for the Razorbacks with 16.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Anthlon Bell (16.1) and Dusty Hannahs (15.8) also average double figures.
