Williams’ Appeals Committee in News

We’ve written a short article detailing David Williams’ role as chair of the NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee for the upcoming issue of Commodore Nation. He and his committee are in the news regarding their actions on penalties imposed on Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim.

Congratulations to our head men’s golf coach Scott Limbaugh and his wife, Kate, on the birth of their son, Thomas Scott Limbaugh, Jr., on December 4.

There is a great buzz among the friends and followers of our 2015 Hall of Fame Class. Historically the capacity crowds that attended the Hall of Fame Dinners came through the purchase of tables but with this exciting class we are considering ways to allow for a limited number of single seat tickets to be sold. Look for details in the next week.

Award-winning sports historian Bill Traughber has contributed excellent articles on our official web page for years but we thought this week’s piece on Vanderbilt and its participation in World Wars I and II was especially interesting. Included in the article is Fred Russell’s column the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed.
