Pregame Notes
• Vanderbilt is in its 126th year of organized football.
• The Commodores wore black helmets with gold jerseys and pants for the first time ever on Saturday.
• Vanderbilt won the toss and deferred to the second half, Kentucky elected to receive and defend the south goal.
• Attendance was 30,301.
• Vanderbilt captains for the game were Spencer Pulley, Zach Cunningham and Ryan White.

Team Notes
• Vanderbilt played Kentucky for the 88th time on Saturday with the Commodores moving to 42-42-4 all time vs. the Wildcats. The win is Vanderbilt’s third straight win in Nashville.
• Vanderbilt’s 21 first half points are the most scored in the first half this season.
• For the second straight week Vanderbilt won the turnover margin forcing three Kentucky turnovers.

Individual Notes
• Torey Agee earned his first career start, getting the nod on the D-Line.
• Kyle Shurmur found Caleb Scott for a career-long 36-yard pass in the first quarter.
• Caleb Azubike forced a fumble for the second straight game.
• Jay Woods recovered his first career fumble setting up the Commodores’ first TD of the day.
• Kyle Shurmer found Kyle Anderton for four yards and the freshmen’s first career TD catch and first career TD reception.
• Oren Burks intercepted his second pass of the season, picking off a pass in the end zone.
• Oren Burks picked off his second pass of the game running it back for a touchdown to give VU the lead. Burks became the first Dore with two INTs since Torren McGaster last season against Tennessee and his pick-six is the first since Darrius Sims last season at Kentucky.
• Caleb Scott’s 37-yard TD in the second quarter pushed the VU lead to 21-10 and was his second TD of the season.
• Zach Cunningham led VU with seven tackles in the first half.
• Ralph Webb broke the Vanderbilt sophomore rushing record with his 113 yards Saturday to push him to 924 yards for the season and into seventh all-time at Vanderbilt on the single-season list.
• Caleb Azubike recorded his first sack of the season in the fourth quarter.
• Andrew Rector blocked the Dores’ first punt of the season in the fourth quarter becoming the first Commodore since Stephen Weatherly last season against UMass.
• Ralph Webb rushed for 113 yards on a career-high 33 carries giving him his third 100-yard game of the season and marking the first time in his career to post back-to-back 100-yard games.
• Caleb Azubike notched his second sack of the night to end the game and give him the fourth two-sack game of his career. Azubike registered three tackles for loss.
• Zach Cunningham led VU with 10 tackles in the win registering his fifth game of the season with at least 10 tackles.
• Caleb Scott set a career-high with 87 yards receiving and scored his second touchdown of the season.
• Torren McGaster broke up two passes and made six tackles.
Offensive Notes
• Kyle Shurmur’s first quarter TD pass to Kyle Anderton was Vanderbilt’s first touchdown in the first quarter this season and snapped a streak of four-game streak with no points in the first quarter.
• Vanderbilt’s 21 first half points are the most scored in the first half this season.
• The Commodores gained 164 yards in the first half with 129 yards passing.

Defensive Notes
• The Commodores made two goal line stands inside the five-yard line in the first half allowing no points with Kentucky having the ball at the one- and the three-yard lines.
• Oren Burks picked off his second pass of the game running it back for a touchdown to give VU the lead. Burks became the first Dore with two INTs since Torren McGaster last season against Tennessee and his pick-six is the first since Darrius Sims last season at Kentucky.
• The defense registered six tackles for loss in the first half finishing the game with eight tackles for loss.
• For the second straight week Vanderbilt held a SEC opponent to less than 200 yards giving up 127 through the air.
• The Dores forced six three-and-out possessions.
• Vanderbilt forced two red zone turnovers and held Kentucky to 3-of-6 in the red zone.

Special Teams Notes
• Andrew Rector blocked the Dores’ first punt of the season in the fourth quarter becoming the first Commodore since Stephen Weatherly last season against UMass.
