Fans encouraged to attend Mason’s first Commodore Call-In Show Thursday night
Fans are encouraged to attend the first Commodore Call-In Show with Coach Mason, scheduled Thursday, August 27 at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt.

The one-hour show, featuring Mason and longtime Commodore football play-by-play announcer Joe Fisher, starts at 7 p.m. CT, at the Commodore Grille, located on the ground floor of the Holiday Inn.

The show airs live on NewsRadio 1510 WLAC. It is also available free of charge online – via Vanderbilt All-Access – at vucommodores.com. (Listen)

The show airs on Thursdays prior to Vanderbilt games. Due to the team’s opener against Western Kentucky next Thursday, the second radio show will take place on Sept. 10.

Commodores work outside Wednesday morning
Head Coach Derek Mason and the Commodores hit the practice field early Wednesday morning as classes began at Vanderbilt on Wednesday. The Dores worked for approximately two hours on the team’s outdoor practice fields with squad continuing work on the game plan for next Thursday’s season opener against Western Kentucky on SEC Network at 7 p.m.
