From beginning to end, everything is set.
The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team released its full schedule Thursday, with the non-conference slate announced in the early afternoon, followed by the SEC lineup in the evening.
Vanderbilt head coach Melanie Balcomb will guide the Commodores through a schedule that includes 16 regular-season games at historic Memorial Gym along with a host of challenging road tests. For season ticket info, click HERE.
Vanderbilt fans will have their first chance to see this year’s team during an exhibition game against Clayton State on Nov. 7. The following week, the Commodores play their regular-season opener, hosting Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 15.
The team then hits the road for two games — visiting Dayton on Nov. 18 and going to Green Bay on Nov. 21 — before returning to Nashville to play seven of their next eight games at Memorial Gym from Nov. 23 through Dec. 21. That stretch is highlighted by home games against in-state rivals ETSU and UT-Martin, along with the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament that will feature Ohio University, Austin Peay and Indiana.
The Commodores close out the non-conference portion of their schedule with a trip to New York for the Fordham Holiday Classic on Dec. 29-30. Vanderbilt will be joined at the tournament by New Mexico State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and host Fordham.
After the holidays, Vanderbilt jumps into SEC play, traveling to Ole Miss for the conference opener on Jan. 3 and hosting national power South Carolina on Jan. 7. (For full release from the SEC, see bottom of the page).
Other key SEC games on VU’s schedule include the tradition home-and-home series with rival Tennessee, with the Commodores visiting Knoxville on Jan. 21 and hosting the Lady Vols on Feb. 11.
Additional SEC home dates include games against LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Texas A&M. Vanderbilt concludes the regular season on Feb. 25, hosting Mississippi State on Senior Day at Memorial Gym.
