Not the hottest day of the year, nor the middle of a work day were going to prevent Vanderbilt fans from showing their appreciation for Vanderbilt’s baseball team. On Thursday, a large contingent of fans made their way to Hawkins Field to congratulate the baseball team upon their arrival back on campus.
One by one, players and coaches exited the bus to a chorus of cheers. Players signed autographs and posed for photos with fans who were able to get their final look at the 2015 Commodores. In just a few days, the players will head their separate ways with some going to summer leagues and others signing professional contracts.
Thursday was an opportunity for Vanderbilt’s fans to congratulate the team on a terrific season that saw the Commodores come up just one win shy of back-to-back national championships.
