Commodore fans are invited to Vanderbilt Stadium to watch the championship series of the College World Series matchup between Vanderbilt and Virginia. Games will be available to be viewed in the stadium on Tuesday (and Wednesday if necessary).
First pitch for the game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday and gates to Vanderbilt Stadium will open at 6 p.m. Fans are invited to bring a blanket and watch from the field or seating will be available in the stadium bleachers.
Fans can enter the stadium via Gate 2 or through the tunnel off Jess Neely Drive.
Free parking is available in the Medical Center lots located at the corner of Jess Neely Drive and Natchez Trace. Concessions will be available for purchase and fans will be permitted to bring in their own food and drinks, however no alcohol is allowed. In the event of inclement weather, the stadium will be closed and the event will be canceled.
Should the series advance to a third game, Vanderbilt will again host a viewing party at the football stadium on Wednesday.
This is the second straight year Vanderbilt has advanced to the finals at the College World Series with the Commodores looking to defend their national championship.
