Fulmer wrapped up the SEC pitching triple crown on Thursday night with his second straight complete game in a victory at Alabama to become just the fourth pitcher in league history to lead the league in wins (11), ERA (1.51) and strikeouts (132).

The right-hander’s third complete game of the season was his second two-hitter as he matched his career-best with 14 strikeouts, giving him his second consecutive start with at least 11 strikeouts and sixth in 14 starts this season.

The Crimson Tide rallied for a run with two outs in the first inning vs. Fulmer but the junior responded by not allowing a hit the rest of the game and no Tide runner advanced past first base after the first inning.

Fulmer recorded strikeouts in eight of his nine innings, striking out the side in the first.

Fulmer moved into a tie with Sonny Gray for the third-most strikeouts in a single season by a Commodore with 132 punch outs this season.

He is the first pitcher to win the SEC triple crown since Tennessee’s Luke Hochevar in 2005. He finishes the regular season as the only pitcher in the league with an ERA under 2.00 and the only pitcher with over 100 strikeouts.
