Carson Fulmer, RHP, 6-0, 195, Lakeland, Fla.

Fulmer recorded his second shutout of the season and second consecutive against Florida on Friday night, scattering six hits and striking out 11.
The Gators threatened Fulmer twice through the first four innings with runners in scoring position but the right-hander retired 11 straight from the fifth through the eighth inning.
Fulmer allowed multiple base runners in just one inning, giving up a pair of two-out hits in the third.
The junior struck out at least one in seven of nine innings en route to his seventh straight win.
During his personal seven-game winning streak, Fulmer has allowed eight runs over 52.2 innings (1.37 ERA) with 70 strikeouts and five scoreless outings.
Struck out 11-plus batters for the fifth time this season and third in last five starts to push league-leading season total to 118.
His third career shutout passes former Commodore David Price on the career list.
Fulmer leads the SEC in the pitching triple crown with 10 wins, 118 strikeouts and a 1.56 ERA. He leads in strikeouts by 32 and his ERA is 0.57 better than second place, the only sub-2.00 ERA in the league among qualified pitchers.

Vanderbilt dropped a tough series to #10 Florida over the weekend in the team’s only action during the week… The Commodores used another stellar start from Carson Fulmer on Friday night to win the opener 2-0… Fulmer turned in his second shutout of the season and third career, scattering six hits and striking out 11… The right-hander has fanned at least 11 in five starts this season… Tyler Campbell and Will Toffey drove in the Dores’ runs in the win… Vandy fell behind early in a 7-3 loss to Florida on Saturday… Philip Pfeifer took the loss allowing five runs over 4.1 innings… Zander Wiel scored two runs and hit his 11th homer of the season in the loss… Vanderbilt let a late lead slip away in a 9-7 loss to Florida in 10 innings on Sunday… The Commodores allowed six runs over the final four innings to drop the series… Jordan Sheffield took the loss allowing three runs, one earned, over 2.1 innings… Dansby Swanson hit a career-best two homers in the loss driving in three and scoring three runs… Rhett Wiseman belted his team-best 12th home run of the year, the most by a Commodore since Connor Harrell hit 12 in 2013… Vanderbilt wraps up the regular season with four games on the road this week, travelling to #2 Louisville on Tuesday for the Battle of the Barrel at 5 p.m. CT… The Commodores finish the SEC regular season with a trip to Hoover, Ala. to take on Alabama… The Dores and Crimson Tide play Thursday and Friday nights at 7 p.m. at The Hoover Met before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
