He opened his outing by striking out the side in the first and ended the game by striking out the side in the ninth to finish a streak of five straight strikeouts.

Fulmer had two streaks of 10 consecutive retired during the game.

The right-hander registered his third double-digit strikeout performance of the year becoming the first Commodore punch out 14 since Tyler Beede vs. Xavier in last year’s NCAA Regional.

Fulmer’s 14 strikeouts with no walks are the most by a Vandy pitcher with no walks since Sonny Gray struck out 15 with free passes against Brown in 2012.
