Swanson put together a strong week hitting .500 (9-for-18) with three multi-hit games and three multi-run games that led to eight runs during the Commodores’ third perfect 5-0 week of the season.

The junior opened the week going 5-for-8 with three runs scored in the two wins over Wofford, including his fifth home run of the season in Wednesday’s win.

Back in his native Georgia on Friday night, Swanson went 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI to help beat the Bulldogs.

Swanson reached base all five times on Friday adding a pair of run-scoring doubles.

He scored two runs in Saturday’s comeback win, reaching on a bunt single in the Commodores’ four-run seventh.

Wright earned wins in both outings during the week thanks to a combined 7.1 scoreless innings against Wofford and Georgia.

In his start on Tuesday vs. the Terriers, he tossed five scoreless innings as the Commodores recorded the team’s seventh shutout win of the season.

The freshman dominated the first four innings against Wofford scattering only two hits before working out of a bases loaded jam in his final frame.

He picked up the win out of the bullpen on Sunday as the Commodores swept Georgia.

The right-hander turned in 2.1 scoreless innings as the Dores rallied late for the victory.

Vanderbilt posted the team’s third 5-0 week of the season with two wins over Wofford during the midweek and a series sweep at Georgia… The Commodores opened the week with a 6-0 shutout win over Wofford… Kyle Wright earned his third win of the year with five scoreless innings before Philip Pfeifer and Tyler Ferguson combined for the final four innings with nine strikeouts to finish the Dores’ seventh shutout win… Dansby Swanson had three hits and Jason Delay hit his first career home run in the victory… John Kilichowski led the Commodores to a 5-3 win over the Terriers on Wednesday… The lefty fanned eight over six innings as Rhett Wiseman, Dansby Swanson and Zander Wiel all hit solo homers… Vanderbilt claimed a wild 9-7 win at Georgia in the series opener on Friday night… For the fourth straight game Vandy scored runs in the first inning with three runs and five in the first two innings… Dansby Swanson went 3-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored, including two doubles… Will Toffey’s career-best four-RBI night started with a three-run double in the first and adding a RBI-single in the fifth… Carson Fulmer picked up the win despite allowing five runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts… Philip Pfeifer worked the final three innings to notch his team-leading fourth save… Vanderbilt fell behind early on Saturday but rallied to clinch the series at Georgia with an 11-7 win… Tyler Campbell’s career-best four RBI included a two-run double in the Dores’ four-run fourth and a two-run single in the team’s four-run seventh… Dansby Swanson added two more runs and two RBI in the win… Walker Buehler picked up the victory with six innings, allowing four runs on nine hits… Vandy used a three-run rally in the seventh to sweep the Bulldogs on Sunday with a 4-2 come-from-behind victory… Nolan Rogers’ RBI-single tied the game and Ro Coleman’s clutch two-run double put VU in front for good… Kyle Wright earned his second win of the week with 2.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen… Philip Pfeifer notched his second save of the weekend and fifth of the year by pitching out of a jam in the eighth and recording the final five outs… Vanderbilt’s comeback win on Sunday was the team’s 10th of the season and fourth when trailing after six innings… Vanderbilt returns home to Hawkins Field to host four games this week beginning with Lipscomb on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+… The Commodores play the team’s first Thursday game of the year when Ole Miss visits for a weekend series… The Dores and Rebels open the series on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU, play Friday at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+ and wrap up the series on Saturday at 2 p.m. on SEC Network.
