Allowed no more than one hit in any of his eight innings, scattering five hits.

Commodore Notes
The Commodores won three of the team’s four games during the week to improve to 22-6 and 7-2 in Southeastern Conference play thanks to a win at Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday and a series victory at Hawkins Field over Tennessee… Vanderbilt rallied for seven runs in the eighth inning to flip the scoreboard on MTSU in Tuesday’s 12-7 win… Karl Ellison and Jeren Kendall each picked a good time to hit their first career home runs in the Dores’ seven-run eighth with Ellison’s two-run shot tying the game and Kendall’s solo homer putting VU in the lead on back-to-back homers… The back-to-back home runs were the first for Vanderbilt since 2013… Kendall’s homer was part of his career-best four-hit, four-RBI night… Kyle Wright picked up the win with three no-hit innings of relief… Carson Fulmer dominated the series opener vs. Tennessee in Vandy’s 9-0 win… Fulmer struck out a career-best 12 over a season-high eight scoreless innings to pick up his fourth win of the year… Tyler Campbell matched his career-high with three RBI and Jeren Kendall added two RBI in the win… A pair of big innings, including a four-run eighth inning, sank the Commodores on Saturday in a 9-5 loss to Tennessee… Philip Pfeifer was pinned with the loss after allowing four runs over 3.1 innings… Will Toffey hit his first career home run with a three-run shot to right field in the second inning… The Commodores wasted no time on Sunday scoring seven runs in the first inning of a 14-3 series-clinching win over Tennessee… Karl Ellison’s grand slam capped the seven-run first before Zander Wiel added his team-leading fifth homer in the second with a two-run blast… Wiel finished a triple shy of the cycle with a single, two doubles and a home run in his first career four-hit game… Dansby Swanson scored a career-best four runs going 3-for-4 with a double… Vanderbilt’s 2-5 hitters combined to go 12-for-19 with eight runs and seven RBI… Ryan Johnson picked up the win in relief with four solid innings out of the bullpen allowing one run on three hits… The Commodores host a pair of midweek games against Wofford before heading to Georgia for a weekend series… First pitch on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Terriers is set for 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.
