The 9th-ranked Commodore men’s golf team heads to the Querencia Cabo Collegiate this Sunday through Tuesday for their second spring tournament of the season at the Los Cabos Querencia, which will be set up as a par-71, 6928-yard format.
This year’s field also includes #2 Florida State, #3 LSU, #5 Wake Forest, #7 Baylor, #10 Stanford, #15 South Florida, #16 South Carolina, #22 Washington, #30 Houston, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Lamar, and Rice.
“I think the guys are certainly excited to get to go and compete in great weather on a championship course,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “It’s another opportunity for this team to prove the kind of team they can be. Our focus has been on doing the simple things better. We show signs of being a really good team, but we need to be more consistent in how we do those things.”
Competing for the Commodores next week are seniors Ben Fogler and Hunter Stewart, junior Carson Jacobs, sophomore Matthias Schwab, and freshman Theo Humphrey.
Eighteen holes will be played each day at the Los Cabos Querencia.
