NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Due to inclement weather, this weekend’s lacrosse games will be moved inside to Vanderbilt’s Multipurpose Facility.
The Commodores host Boston University at 2 p.m. on Friday and welcome Denver at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both games have been moved into the indoor facility due to below-freezing temperatures and the threat of more snow and sleet over the weekend.
As always, admission is free. Fans can enter at the glass doors accessing the lobby located at the Southeast side of the building. Spectators will be allowed to view the game from the second-floor balcony located on the west side of the facility. Parking is available in the flat lots located at the Natchez Trace and Children’s Way. Both games will be streamed live online, and Sunday’s game will be broadcast by Vanderbilt student radio at vandyradio.com.
The Commodores (2-0) are off to their best start since 2008 after picking up wins over Kennesaw State and Liberty the first two weekends.
The team regularly practices inside the Multipurpose Facility when temperatures drop or storms blow in but this is the first time the lacrosse team has played a game inside the state-of-the-art facility, which was completed in November 2013. The facility, which was made possible due to generous donations from numerous philanthropists, also houses a 300-meter indoor track and allows for football and soccer practice.
