Vanderbilt sophomore Luke Kornet has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Three team for his exploits in the classroom according to a release today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Kornet, from Lantana, Texas, has a 3.72 GPA in computer science, and joins Christian Beyer of Virginia Tech, Craig Bradshaw of Belmont, Kyle Noreen of Radford, and Marcus Paige of North Carolina on the All-District Three team.
First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
