LAS VEGAS – Freshman Katie Stark averaged 207 in six games and finished 20th in Tuesday’s fourth round of the USA Team Trials here at the Orleans Hotel to lead all Vanderbilt hopefuls. The Florida southpaw jumped to 46th in the overall standings in the process.
Alum Brittni Hamilton slipped to seventh place overall but certainly within reach of the leaders with a good final round. Another Commodore alumnus, Josie Earnest, is 14th. Danielle McEwan has led the Trials from the start.
Other Vanderbilt connected bowlers include Giselle Poss in 55th place (118 total competitors), Amanda Fry (64), Kendyll Dellinger (65), Nicole Powell (76), Natalie Goodman (92) and Jordan Newham (111).
The Trials conclude tomorrow with berths on both the Team USA and Junior Team USA up for grabs. Complete results are on bowl.com.
