The football team is off this weekend, but there are still plenty of Vanderbilt sporting events to take in this weekend in Nashville.
Vanderbilt’s women’s basketball team opens the regular season at 7 p.m. Friday against Belmont. The game can be heard locally on 560 AM and 95.9 FM and viewed on SEC Network +. (Ticket Information)
Men’s basketball plays Trevecca Nazarene at 2 p.m. Sunday in the regular season lid-lifter. The game will air on 1510 AM, 560 AM and 95.9 FM. The game will also be carried on SEC Network +. (Ticket Information)
The defending national champions will host their annual Black & Gold Series Friday, Saturday and Tuesday at Hawkins Field. The games begin at 4 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Admission is free to all three games. Tuesday’s game was initially slated for Sunday, but was moved due to a weather forecast that calls for rain on Sunday.
After the Black & Gold Series, Vanderbilt’s baseball team will travel to Dominican Republic November 22-28. The international trip will be the first for the Commodores since traveling to Japan and Hong Kong in 2009.
On the road, Vanderbilt’s cross country teams are competing in the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee, Fla., Friday, as they look to qualify for the NCAA Championships. (More Information)
Also in action this weekend, Vanderbilt’s bowling team will be competing in the Hawk Classic in Delaware.
