Today’s spotlight: Rebekah Dahlman
Vanderbilt redshirt freshman Rebekah Dahlman is today’s featured player on our Countdown to Tipoff package that will lead up to the Commodores’ season opener against Belmont on Nov. 14.
After missing most of last season due to a blood clot in her shoulder, Dahlman has returned to action and appears primed for a huge season. Earlier this week, she was named to preseason All-SEC Second Team by the conference’s coaches.
Dahlman, who scored more than a 5,000 points in her prep career, was in the starting lineup for Vanderbilt’s first nine games last season before being sidelined with a blood clot in December and missing the rest of the season. She was leading the SEC and ranked 10th in the nation in 3-point percentage at 51.4 percent (18-of-35) at the time of her injury.
