The Vanderbilt WBB team recently had some special visitors during a workout at the practice facility inside Memorial Gym.
In the midst of homecoming week on the Vanderbilt campus, a collection of former Commodore standouts — which included All-American Wendy Scholtens Wood, the No. 2-ranked scorer in the program’s history — stopped by to watch the 2014-15 Commodores work out.
The group included: Renae Sallquist Knopf (’90), Julie Gibbs Tahmoush (’90) (trainer), Michelle Kennedy (’92), Jeanie Carroll Cox (’90), Jill Goldberg Kispert (’89), Sarah Mannes Homstad (’92), and Wood (’91).

The members of the group chatted with head coach Melanie Balcomb and the Vanderbilt coaching staff. The group also took a tour of Memorial Gym to see some of the recent renovations to the historic building.
