If you have not listened to the 17-minute video interview with Kevin Stallings at our recent basketball media day, it is well worth the time investment. Don’t be so sure you know what he is going to say. Find out who the team leader is – and how he does it. There is much to learn.

It was significant news on this campus and for our student-athletes to learn that the high priority McGugin Center Training Room project has been approved and construction now targeted to begin in a few months. This milestone is the result of some generous and forward-thinking donors and a steady focus by our administration and very good development staff.

You probably don’t realize our men’s golf team was ranked No. 5 nationally, the women’s golf team No. 12, our bowlers No. 4 and women’s cross country checking in at No. 27, who along with Arkansas are the only SEC teams ranked.

Vanderbilt has had its share of student-athletes from New Jersey and two of the best will soon be honored by the Bergan County YMCA at its 49th annual Sports Award Banquet. Alumnus Lauren Rhein, (Bowling, ’14), will be presented with the “Inspirational Adult Award” and freshman golfer Cindy Ha will be honored with the J. Barry Stanford Award for her outstanding high school accomplishments.
