Pregame Notes
• Vanderbilt is in its 125th year of organized football.
• The Commodores wore gold helmets and pants with white jerseys for the first time this season.
• Kentucky won the toss and deferred to the second half, Vanderbilt elected to receive in the first half.
• Attendance was 56,940.
• Vanderbilt captains for the game were Andrew East, Joe Townsend and Kyle Woestmann.

Team Notes
• Vanderbilt is now 41-42-4 all-time vs. Kentucky.
• The loss snaps the Commodores’ SEC road winning streak of two games dating back to last season.
• The Commodores forced a season-high three turnovers in the game.
• Vanderbilt committed a season-low two penalties.

Individual Notes
• Freshman Wade Freebeck made his second career start at QB for the Commodores.
• Jerron Seymour’s 28-yard run in the second quarter was his longest of the season and matched Ralph Webb’s team-best.
• Darrius Sims recorded the team’s first interception of the season returning it 13 yards for a touchdown.
• Darrius Sims now has three touchdowns on the season (2 kickoff returns, 1 interception return).
• Nigel Bowden notched his first career sack in the third quarter dropping Kentucky QB Patrick Towles for a seven-yard loss on third down.
• Nifae Lealao recovered his first career fumble in the fourth quarter.
• Jake Sealand recovered a muffed punt in the fourth quarter to give VU it’s third forced turnover of the day.
• C.J. Duncan caught three passes for a team-high 48 yards.
• Latevious Rayford caught two passes for 21 yards and now has seven catches in the last three games.
• Ralph Webb led the team with 44 yards rushing on 13 carries.
• Zach Cunningham led VU with a career-best nine tackles, including five solo stops.
• Nigel Bowden made a career-high nine tackles in the game, including his first career sack.

• Darreon Herring matched his season-best total of eight tackles.

Offensive Notes
• Jerron Seymour’s 28-yard run in the second quarter was his longest of the season and matched Ralph Webb’s team-best.
• C.J. Duncan caught three passes for a team-high 48 yards.
• Latevious Rayford caught two passes for 21 yards and now has seven catches in the last three games.
• Ralph Webb led the team with 44 yards rushing on 13 carries.

Defensive Notes
• Darrius Sims recorded the team’s first interception of the season returning it 13 yards for a touchdown.
• The defense recorded three tackles for loss in the first half.
• Nifae Lealao recovered his first career fumble in the fourth quarter.
• Vanderbilt has now forced a turnover in every game this season, forcing a season-high three on Saturday.
• The defense held UK to 139 yards, including 26 yards passing in the second half.
• Kentucky was held to 1-for-8 on third down in the second half.
• The Commodores’ top two tacklers in the game – freshmen Zach Cunningham and Nigel Bowden – combined for 18 stops.
• Following Kentucky’s opening, 99-yard drive Vanderbilt allowed only 285 yards of offense to Kentucky the rest of the game.

Special Teams Notes
• Colby Cooke’s first punt of the game went a season-best 63 yards and was downed at the one-yard line.
• Jake Sealand recovered a muffed punt in the fourth quarter to give VU it’s third forced turnover of the day.
• Colby Cooke punted a season-high eight times for an average of 44.8 yards, placing three inside the 20-yard line and two over 50 yards.
