Vanderbilt freshman Rebekah Dahlman will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing successful surgery on Feb. 5.
Dahlman was diagnosed with a blood clot in her right shoulder in December, and has since had multiple procedures. She was in the starting lineup for Vanderbilt’s first nine games — averaging 11.4 points per game — but has not seen action since the Commodores’ win over East Tennessee State on Dec. 3.
She was leading the SEC and ranked 10th in the nation in 3-point percentage at 51.4 percent (18-of-35) at the time of her injury.
Dahlman was a McDonald’s All-America last season as a senior at Braham Area High (Braham, Minn.). She set the state’s all-time scoring record with 5,060 points in her career.
