Inclement weather forced the Commodores indoors as they prepared for their first preseason scrimmage scheduled on Saturday. Vanderbilt began the Friday session at the John Rich Practice Complex and were then forced to move into the gymnasiums inside the Vanderbilt Recreation Center.
After a 45-minute workout indoors, the team was allowed back outside to finish practicing on the fields.
The Commodores’ first scrimmage, which will be closed to the public, will be held Saturday inside Vanderbilt Stadium. After the scrimmage, the Commodores will take Sunday off to enjoy Dore Jam fan activities, presented by Gary Force Acura. The fan day is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. at the John Rich Practice Complex. Admission is free.
Head Coach James Franklin met with the media following Friday’s practice.
