After playing five years of professional basketball, former Commodore Shan Foster recently retired from the sport. He is now transitioning into another stage of life that involves working in education, coaching, motivational speaking and more.

Foster, along with many of his former teammates, will be returning to campus Aug. 3 for Vanderbilt’s Alumni Game at Memorial Gym. Admission and parking are free and the first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative poster.

Foster spoke with VUcommodores.com about life after basketball, his experience of playing basketball at Vanderbilt for Coach Stallings and what his expectations are for the Alumni Game.
