NASHVILLE – The Vanderbilt lacrosse team closes out the 2013 regular season on Saturday, April 20, when No. 2 North Carolina visits the VU Lacrosse Complex for a 12 p.m. CT matchup. Head Coach Cathy Swezey and Vanderbilt Athletics officials will honor the Commodores’ graduating class of 2013 in a ceremony scheduled to begin 10 minutes before noon.

Admission to Saturday’s game is free.

Five seniors will be honored before Saturday’s game: attackers Olivia Goodman, Courtney Kirk and Carly Linthicum, defender Paige Cahill and goalkeeper Chelsea Pasfield. Vanderbilt seniors have combined for 57 goals and 44 assists this season. Linthicum leads the squad with 48 goals, while Kirk has a team-high 18 assists.

The Tar Heels have not played in eight days since a victory over Jacksonville that helped the UNC bounce back from a loss to No. 1 Maryland.

Following Saturday’s game, the Commodores will take next week off before traveling to Baltimore for the 2013 American Lacrosse Conference Tournament, May 2-5 at Homewood Field.
