Vanderbilt is one of eight teams competing in the 2013 NCAA Bowling Championship, which gets underway Friday morning at Super Bowl Lanes in Canton, Mich. The double-elimination tournament will be streamed live by NCAA.com, and results can be found at the NCAA’s Championship Central site.

Semifinals (7:58 p.m.): Vanderbilt eliminated Maryland Eastern Shore, 4-3, to advance to Saturday’s championship match against Nebraska. The Commodores and UMES were locked in a tight battle that was decided by one pin in the final frame, 212-211. Maryland Eastern Shore needed a strike on its final ball to tie the score, but rolled a nine. Maryland Eastern Shore had won the previous two national championships.

Vanderbilt and Nebraska will meet in Saturday’s championship at 7 p.m. CT on ESPNU with the winner taking home the national title. A taped delay broadcast of the championship finals will air on ESPN Sunday, April 14 from 1 – 2:30 p.m.

1:53 p.m. Second Round: Vanderbilt defeats Arkansas State, 4-3. The Commodores are 2-0 in the tournament and advance to the semifinals. Vanderbilt will face the winner between Fairleigh Dickinson and Maryland Eastern Shore tonight at 6:20 p.m. CT.
