The Vanderbilt track and field team will again participate in multiple meets this weekend. Most the Commodores will head to Georgia for the Spec Towns National Team Invitational and Bulldog Heptathlon, while a trio of runners travel to Tennessee for the Sea Ray Relays.
Spec Towns National Team Invitational – Athens, Ga.
The majority of Vanderbilt track and field athletes will compete in Athens, Ga., on the weekend. The Commodores are currently scheduled to participate in the Bulldog Heptathlon and a combination of sprints, hurdles, relays and field events. Georgia is welcoming one of the deepest fields it has ever had to the Spec Towns Track in Athens, including SEC schools Alabama, Auburn and South Carolina. Athletes from Michigan State, Troy, Wisconsin and Rutgers are also scheduled to participate.

4×100 meter relay
4×400 meter relay
Sea Ray Relays – Knoxville, Tenn.
Three of Vanderbilt’s top middle distance/distance runners will head east to Knoxville, Tenn., for the Sea Ray Relays. Sara Barron will compete in the 800 meters, while Kristen Findley and Hannah Jumper will run in the 1,500 meters.
Both races are schedule for Friday, April 12. The 800 meters will run at 4:30 p.m. CT, while the 1,500 is set for 5:00 p.m. CT.
