The 2012 Music City Bowl is almost here. Vanderbilt will play NC State at 11 A.M. CT Monday at LP Field. The game will be televised on ESPN and can be heard locally on 1510 AM and 97.9 FM.
Leading up to the game, Vanderbilt will hold a number of events that are open for fans. On Saturday, the Coach’s Call-In Show with James Franklin will originate from the Vanderbilt Student Life Center across from Memorial Gym. The event will air from 5-6 p.m. and is free to attend. Vanderbilt’s men’s basketball team will host Butler at 7 p.m. later that night.
On Sunday, the Franklin American Mortgage Coaches Brunch will take place at Wildhorse Saloon from 9-11 a.m. Tickets are being sold for the brunch through the Music City Bowl.
From 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening, MusicFest and Battle of the Bands will take place at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Broadway. Come watch the team’s two bands perform and hear a free concert from Diamond Rio.
Vanderbilt’s Bowl Kickoff Celebration will follow the event from 7-10 p.m. at Wildhorse Saloon. The event is sold out, but walk ups can purchase general admission tickets on the main level.
On Monday, Vanderbilt will hold its pregame Commodore Tailgate from 8-11 a.m. on the south end of LP Field. Registration is still available online. Vandyville opens at 8 a.m. and then ‘Dore Alley will take place at 8:20 a.m.
