Another busy weekend is on tap for Vanderbilt athletics. The men’s and women’s basketball teams will open play this weekend with the men hosting St. Xavier in exhibition play Friday night (7 p.m. CT) and the women hosting Alabama-Huntsville in an exhibition at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The football team travels to Kentucky for an 11 a.m. kick off Saturday afternoon on ESPNU. Vanderbilt is looking to improve to 5-4 on the season, while Kentucky is in search of its first SEC win. Visit Gameday Central for everything you need to know about Saturday’s game.
Vanderbilt’s swimming team will host its third home meet of the season at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Commodores welcome Tulane and Western Kentucky to the Centennial Sportsplex.
The women’s tennis team will also be competing in its final tournament of the fall when the Commodores travel a few hours west to play in the Memphis Invitational.
