VUCommodores.com brings you its weekly look at Vanderbilt’s players in the National Football League. In this edition, we take a look back at Week Five.

Chicago 41, Jacksonville 3 – NFL.com Recap
The Bears offense and defense were both huge as Chicago moved to 4-1 with a dominating win over the Jaguars.

Jay Cutler was 23-39 passing for 292 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win. He was his Commodore counterpart at receiver, as Earl Bennett missed his second-straight game with a hand injury and was inactive. Offensive lineman Chris Williams was also inactive for the Bears.

Defensively, D.J. Moore recorded three tackles, including one for a loss, as the Bears held Jacksonville to just a field goal.

Indianapolis 30, Green Bay 27 – NFL.com Recap
Rookie Casey Hayward grabbed his first career interception, but it wasn’t enough as Green Bay dropped a heartbreaker to the Colts, 30-27. The cornerback added two tackles and a pass break-up in the effort.

Sean Richardson was inactive for the Packers.

Other Notes
Brandon Barden remains on the practice squad for the Titans.

Myron Lewis, who was inactive two weeks ago with Tampa Bay, was off during the Buccaneers bye week.
