NASHVILLE – The Commodore women’s soccer team welcomes Alabama and South Carolina to the VU Soccer Complex this weekend to open their Southeastern Conferenece home schedule.
Vanderbilt is the last SEC squad to host a league game. The Commodores’ 12th game of 2012 comes on Friday at 7 p.m. CT against the Crimson Tide, and will be only the third contest at home this season.
Vanderbilt (4-4-3, 1-1-2 SEC) split a pair of road games last weekend, traveling to Mississippi State and Missouri. The Commodores scored four times against the Bulldogs in Starkville before falling to the 15th-ranked Tigers.
Alabama (6-3-1, 1-2-1) was defeated by Ole Miss last weekend after getting a home win over Georgia. Freshman forward Katie Bourgeois leads the Crimson Tide with seven goals and two assists this season.

South Carolina (3-4-3, 0-2-2) and Vanderbilt will face off Sunday at 1 p.m. CT on CSS. Coryn Bajema’s three goals pace the Gamecocks, who are still looking for their first win in conference.
