Former Vanderbilt player D.J. Moore makes a tackle for the Bears.
VUCommodores.com is back with installment number two of its Commodores in the NFL series. Of Vanderbilt’s six active NFL players, five played in the Thursday night game between Chicago and Green Bay.

Cornerback Casey Hayward found himself on the winning side of one of the NFL’s great rivalries. Haywayd has seen action in both games this season as a top reserve corner for the Packers. Teammate Sean Richardson was inactive for the contest.
On the Chicago side, quarterback Jay Cutler struggled under some heave pressure from the Packers’ defense. The signal caller was 11-27 passing for 126 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions. Cutler was sacked seven times.
Three other Bears saw action in the contest. Receiver Earl Bennett had two catches for 21 yards. D.J. Moore started at nickel back for the Bears, making two tackles. Offensive tackle Chris Williams saw action as well.

Defensive back Myron Lewis saw action on defense and special teams for the Buccaneers as they suffered a tough loss to Eli Manning and the Giants.
Lewis did make one tackle on special teams in the Giants’ comeback win.

In addition to Richardson looking for his first action with the Packers, tight end Brandon Barden continues to play on the practice squad for the Tennessee Titans.
