NASHVILLE — With a week off to prepare for the Saturday’s Commodore Classic, the Vanderbilt women’s cross country team maintained its national ranking of sixth in today’s U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Poll.
The Commodores are the highest ranked SEC team. There was a change at the top of the poll, as Washington is now ranked first, followed by Oregon, Florida State, Georgetown and Iowa State.
Rounding out the top-10 are Vanderbilt, Providence College, Stanford, Arkansas and Villanova.
The Commodores will host the Commodore Classic on Saturday, September 15, at Percy Warner Park. Action begins with the men’s gold (Division I) race at 9:00 a.m., followed by the women’s gold (Division I) race at 9:45 a.m.
