NASHVILLE – Preseason training began Friday afternoon for the Vanderbilt women’s soccer team with a 70-minute scrimmage held on the practice field.
The entire 32-player roster first gathered on campus just 30 hours prior for its first team meeting on the second floor of the newly renovated McGugin Center. A number of parents joined the players and staff for a welcome back dinner that evening.
This morning, equipment was handed out in the team’s brand new locker rooms and everyone headed out to the game field a photo shoot with photographer Joe Howell.

Vanderbilt opens the 2012 regular season in just two weeks, heading west on I-40 to face Tennessee-Martin on Friday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. CT.
