Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt edged #23 Louisville and won the series at #4 LSU over the weekend to post a 3-1 record for the week… The Commodores topped #23 Louisville 3-2 Tuesday night to reach .500 for the first time this season… Conrad Gregor scored the winning run from third on a wild pitch in the eighth inning… Jared Miller worked two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win… Vanderbilt dropped a pitcher’s duel 2-1 at LSU on Friday… T.J. Pecoraro was the tough-luck loser in his first career complete game, allowing two runs… Vince Conde had two hits and Mike Yastrzemski drove in the Dores’ lone run… The Commodores evened the series, winning Saturday’s game 6-3… Anthony Gomez had four hits and knocked in two runs while Sam Selman won his team-best eighth game… Vandy won the series on Sunday in 10 innings with a 5-4 victory to put the Commodores over .500 for the first time this season… Tony Kemp drove in the winning run with two outs in the 10th after Mike Yastrzemski tied the game in the ninth with a solo home run to right field… Will Clinard earned his sixth win of the season with 2.2 scoreless innings out of the VU bullpen.
