Vanderbilt posted the team’s first winning week (3-1) in over a month with a win over Belmont midweek and a series victory over Auburn, two games to one… The Commodores shut out Belmont 7-0 Wednesday night to earn the team’s fourth shutout victory of the season… Anthony Gomez collected three hits for his fifth straight multi-hit game driving in two runs… Starter Sam Selman dominated over six scoreless innings for his third straight win… Vanderbilt held off a late rally from Auburn to win the series opener 5-4 Friday night… Spencer Navin’s three hits and two RBI coupled with Jack Lupo’s two hits and two RBI led VU to victory… T.J. Pecoraro made his first start since undergoing elbow ligament replacement surgery in June 2011 tossing 4.2 innings and allowing two runs on five hits… Will Clinard worked three innings out of the bullpen for his team-best fourth win… The Tigers claimed an early lead and topped the Commodores 5-2 Saturday… Connor Castellano’s pinch hit, two-run homer was all of the offense for the Dores… Tyler Beede took the loss despite his third straight quality start, allowing three runs over seven innings… The Commodores cruised by Auburn 11-2 on Sunday to clinch the series… Tony Kemp and Anthony Gomez combined to go 6-for-10 with four runs scored and four RBI atop the VU lineup as eight different Dores had at least one hit… Kevin Ziomek was sharp in earning his third win of the year allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits with seven strikeouts.
