Vanderbilt’s number seven ranked women’s golf team travels to Tempe, Arizona, to participate in the PING/ASU Invitational this Friday through Sunday at the ASU Karsten Golf Course. The Commodores tee off at 8:40 Pacific Time.
The Commodores will be represented by Lauren Stratton, Rene Sobolewski, Kendall Martindale, Irina Gabasa, and Marina Alex in their starting five, with Anna Leigh Keith participating as an individual. Stratton will participate despite suffering from a kidney stone in her last outing at LSU (read more here).
The 54-hole tournament will be played over the course of three days, with 18 holes played each day. Tee times for Friday will begin at 8 a.m. PT, with golfers teeing off on holes one and 10. On Saturday and Sunday, tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. PT. The ASU Karsten Golf course is set at a par-71, 6,121-yards, with golfers teeing off the championship tees.
The field for the tournament features nine teams ranked in the top-25, according to Golfstat, and five top-10 ranked team. Competing in the PING/ASU Invitational: No. 5 Arizona State (Host), No. 20 Arizona, No. 8 LSU, No. 49 New Mexico, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 50 Oregon State, No. 45 San Diego State, No. 42 Stanford, No. 29 Texas, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 39 TCU, No. 26 UC Davis, No. 1 UCLA, No. 53 UNLV, No. 3 USC, No. 7 Vanderbilt, and No. 23 Washington.
