– Posted career single-game marks in runs (3), hits (3) and RBI (4) in the three-game series against the Rams.
– Team’s pitching staff posted a 2.74 ERA with him behind the plate over the weekend, including the Commodores’ first shutout of the season.

– Dazzled over a career-long eight scoreless innings to earn his team-best second win of the season.
– Big right-hander fanned a career-best six batters allowing only one hit in the Commodores’ first shutout of the season.
– Only allowed two base runners to reach scoring position and worked five 1-2-3 innings.

Commodore Notes
The Commodores dropped a midweek game to Louisiana Tech 9-3 on Wednesday… Mike Yastrzemski hit his second home run of the season with a two-run shot and Conrad Gregor added two hits in the loss… Friday’s series opener against Rhode Island was washed out and pushed to Saturday as part of a doubleheader… Vanderbilt wasted no time on Saturday, scoring a season-best seven runs in the first inning en route to a 9-4 victory over the Rams… Spencer Navin starred in the leadoff spot for the first time in his career going 3-for-5 with two doubles… Connor Harrell chipped in a three-run double as the Dores racked up a season-high 16 hits… VU starter Kevin Ziomek earned the win working a career-long 7.1 innings and striking out a career-best nine batters while allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits… The Commodores finished off the doubleheader sweep with the team’s first shutout with an 8-0 blanking of Rhode Island… Starter Drew VerHagen worked a career-best eight innings allowing only one hit and working five 1-2-3 innings for his second win of the season… Once again the Commodores offense jumped on the Rams early, this time pushing three runs across in the first frame, including Yastrzemski’s third home run of the season… Vanderbilt wrapped the team’s first series sweep of the season with a wild 12-8 win on Sunday over the Rams… The game featured nine lead changes in the first seven innings before the Commodores finally put the game with nine runs over their final three at-bats… Navin once again led the way for VU going 3-for-6 with three runs scored and four RBI, including his first career home run that led off the bottom of the first… Tony Kemp extended his hitting streak to eight games with a pair of hits and two RBI… Yastrzemski pushed his hitting streak to eight games as well with a single… Nashville-native Andrew Harris reached base four times and scored a career-high three runs in the win.
