  • Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings moves to 377-219 overall in his 18-year career, and 254-156 in 13 years at VU.
  • Stallings moves to 10-4 all-time against Ole Miss.
  • Vanderbilt surpassed the 100-point barrier for the first time since December 19, 2006, when the Commodores knocked off Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, 102-59.
  • The 100-point game was VU’s first in SEC play since a 101-89 win on March 1, 2000.
  • Vanderbilt posted season-highs in field goal percentage (62.5%) and three-point field goal percentage (63.2%).
  • VU posted 20 assists on 29 made baskets, the best team assist total in SEC play this year, and second-best total this season. Vanderbilt had 21 assists vs. Lafayette on Dec. 21.

Player Notes

  • Jeffery Taylor scored 28 points on 10-15 shooting from the floor and a 5-6 mark from three. Taylor scored 23 points in the first half, and made his first seven shots from the floor.
  • Taylor’s five threes set a new career high.
  • The 28 points is two points shy of his career high (30 vs. Davidson).
  • John Jenkins scored 26 points on only five made shots from the floor. Jenkins was 5-5, including 4-4 from 3, and converted on 12-15 free throw attempts.
  • Jenkins’ free throws made and attempted were new career highs.
  • Kedren Johnson’s five assists set a new career high.
  • Festus Ezeli blocked four shots and now has 186 in his career.
  • Shelby Moats had a career high two blocks – the first two of his collegiate career.

Record Watch

  • Taylor now has 1,783 points in his career, and is 108 points behind Matt Freije for second place on Vanderbilt’s all-time scoring list.
  • Taylor now has 709 career rebounds – his nine boards against Ole Miss vaulted him to 7th on VU’s all-time rebounding list past Will Perdue, who finished his career with 708.
  • Taylor also moved past Clyde Lee (610) for third place on VU’s free throw attempts list. He now has 612.
  • Brad Tinsley now has 452 career assists, three assists shy of Frank Seckar, who is in second place on Vanderbilt’s all-time list. Tinsley sits in third.
  • Jenkins is still in 16th place on VU’s all-time scoring list. He now has 1,458 points.
