Vanderbilt heads to the 2012 Meyo Invitational to compete against 48 other university teams this weekend at Notre Dame’s indoor sports center.
The Commodores saw multiple personal bests and several all-time Vanderbilt records being reset last week in Lexington, Ky. in events ranging from the high jump to the pole vault to distance races.
The highlight of the Meyo Invitational will be the “Meyo Mile,” due in large part to runners breaking the elusive four-minute mark in the race. Ten runners have broken the barrier since 1988.
Events begin on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. CT, with the women entering their first events around 5:00 with the 60m hurdles. The women’s Meyo Mile run will take place on Saturday at 10:45 a.m.
