Two Commodores–senior midfielder Ally Carey and assistant coach Amber Falcone–joined Team USA for the US Lacrosse Champion Challenge this past weekend at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.

The Team USA women posted a 5-0 record over the weekend, notching victories over Team England, the University of Maryland and Northwestern University. Team USA won a pair of contests over the Wildcats on Sunday by a combined score of 34-7. Carey contributed a goal and two assists to the afternoon win.
In addition to a full slate of exhibition games, the national teams hosted instructional clinics for youth and high school players.
By the end of this week, the U.S. women’s team is expected to trim its 38-player roster down to 24 in preparation for the 2013 FIL World Championship in Canada.
