WBB to host VU Employee Celebration

The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team, in conjunction with Vanderbilt University, will host Employee Celebration night on Thursday, February 9, when the Commodores face Tennessee. Tipoff is set for 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Gym.

Vanderbilt staff and their families are invited to come to Memorial and cheer on the Commodores as they host the Lady Vols. Each employee is entitled to four free tickets for the contest.

The event begins with a pre-game party in the practice gym at Memorial, starting at 6:30 p.m. The party will feature light snacks, games and entertainment for kids and much more. The party will run until the game gets underway at 8:00 p.m.

Vanderbilt employees can click here to reserve their tickets online. Employees must present their Vanderbilt ID to pickup tickets at Memorial Gym on gameday. In addition, for this celebration of the Vanderbilt community, black and gold attire is required to receive your tickets.

Parking will be available in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center lots on the corner of Natchez Trace and Jess Neely Drive, just a short walk from Memorial Gym.

The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team is 14-5 on the season, including a 12-1 mark at Memorial Gym this season. They are led by sophomore guard Christina Foggie, who is the second-leading scorer in the SEC at 17.7 points per game.

Fans can see the Commodores before at Memorial Gym prior to the February 9 Tennessee game. They host Georgia on Thursday, January 26, and LSU on Sunday, January 29.
