The Commodores take their 2-0 SEC record into a home contest with the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gym. The game tips at 3 p.m. CT, and can be seen live on the SEC Network and heard live on the Vanderbilt IMG College Radio Network in the middle Tennessee area and online at vucommodores.com.

Vanderbilt, 12-4 overall and the winners of a season-high six consecutive games, welcome the 9-7 Bulldogs (0-2 SEC) for the two schools’ 134th career meeting.

Vanderbilt won their sixth consecutive game with a 67-57 victory over South Carolina in their SEC road opener Tuesday in Columbia. John Jenkins led a balanced Commodore attack with 14 points, with Brad Tinsley adding 13 points and nine assists, Jeffery Taylor added 11 points, and Steve Tchiengang chipped in a season-high 10 points.

  • The Commodores moved to 2-0 to start SEC play for the fourth time of the Stallings’ era, and the first time since 2009-10. In 2009-10, VU started 5-0 in SEC play, the best start to league competition since Stallings took over for the 1999-2000 campaign.
