Vanderbilt student-athletes hosted their annual Children’s Holiday Party on Friday, December 9, at Memorial Gym.
The Commodores hosted first graders from East Nashville’s Ross Elementary. The class’s teacher is Ms. Lauryn England, who is a recent Vanderbilt graduate. VUCommodores.com was there to take in the Sights & Sounds.
The event kicked off with the football team’s Mylon Brown making an entrance as Santa Claus, accompanied by his elf, teammate T.J. Greenstone. Brown and Greenstone paired to read and act out ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.
After the story, the first graders received presents and were matched-up with various Commodore teams.
