Looking back… Vanderbilt pulled off an exciting comeback against UConn Saturday night to move to 2-0 on the season. The Commodores scored the final 10 points off Casey Hayward’s pick-six and Carey Spear’s field goal to win 24-21. In a surprise to fans just moments before kickoff, the Commodores stormed the field wearing black helmets for the first time since 1990. 
Freshman tailback Jerron Seymour scored his first career touchdown on a 40-yard run in the first quarter to give Vanderbilt an early 14-3 lead. 
In a touching halftime tribute, former Vanderbilt Head Coach George MacIntyre was honored for his incredible contribution to the legacy of Commodore football. MacIntyre, who has multiple sclerosis, was presented with a painting produced by former player James Threalkill. Watch
